Jennifer Childress

Jennifer began her professional career as a photographer for a local newspaper where she developed her photojournalistic style. She also used her skills to help pay for college by offering wedding and portrait photography. She spent six years as an architecture and interior design photographer for a major Philadelphia based firm. During those six years, she continued to develop her skills as a wedding photographer. She found wedding photography so rewarding as a creative outlet, she finally decided to dedicate herself to it full time in 2002.

In addition to her talents as a photographer, Jennifer has a core set of business ethics that keep her clients, their friends, and their families coming back. She continues to make customer satisfaction her top priority.

Jennifer also specializes in Family, Infant, Pregnancy, and Boudoir photography.
Kevin York

Kevin has been a professional photographer for over twenty five years. He is a graduate of Antonelli School of Photography. Kevin started his photography business in 1985, primarily as a product and corporate photographer. In 1995 Kevin was commissioned by Penske Racing to work on their product catalogs. This led to an opening in Auto Racing Photography. One year later her was a contributing photographer for ESPN, Racer, OnTrack and Champ Car Magazines. He worked with many celebrities in and out of the racing world. He was lucky enough to photograph and become friends with his boyhood hero Mario Andretti.

In 2003 Kevin was asked to photograph a friend's wedding. He decided to approach it just as he did his magazine commissions. He shot the day just as it unfolded, having no idea that he was about to become a wedding photojournalist! Over 150 weddings later Kevin has not looked back. His love for creating artistic images that are cherished and passed through the generations are what motivates him as a wedding photographer.

In 2009 Jennifer Childress Photography welcomed Kevin York as Staff Photographer and Partner.

Latest addition to the rugby family!!

Look at this sweet face! Meet baby Tristan. He is the son of our friends Laura & Turtle (no, not his real name.) Jesse has played rugby with Turtle for years at the North Penn Rugby Club (shameless plug).

Tristan is five months old and just as cute as a button, I seriously want to eat him. I absolutely LOVE baby sessions, I think because being a mom myself I know how important these images are to parents. I also love how excited my clients are before, during and after the sessions. Makes it all worth it!

Thanks for bringing the little bug by for me to play with guys!

Larisa & Bill – Mendenhall Inn Wedding

I am finally caught up on blogging! Whoo hooo!!!!!

Larisa & Bill were my last wedding of 2009! They booked me only two months before their wedding, but I felt like I had known them for years. I am really proud of these photos for two reasons. 1. It was maybe 20 degrees out and Larisa was a major trooper! 2. I feel like Kevin and I really captured the emotions of this day wonderfully. We had a nice amount of time to get great portraits prior to the ceremony which is just great for a photographer. First Meets ROCK! It was a gorgeous day, and I couldn’t have asked for more photogenic subjects! Thanks guys for asking me to be apart of your day! Also, a HUGE thanks to Kevin for joining me for the day!

Lauren & Jeff – Overbrook Golf Club

The last time we saw The Smith Family was in September for Christine’s wedding. Well, I am happy to report that Lauren and Jeff had an amazing, weather free day! Which is incredible considering the rain filled fall we had. AND considering this families history with weddings and weather. Together we have braved snow, hurricanes, and plain old rain but not this time! We had a perfect day, sun filled and DRY. I am again, so honored have been invited back to photograph another wedding for this wonderful family. I am looking forward to the family portrait this summer at the beach!

Erin & Tom ::: Phoenixville Foundry Wedding

Unlike most of the days this fall, Erin and Tom had beautiful weather for their wedding day. Erin and Tom are such awesome laid back people but of course I already new that. Last year we met up to do their engagement session in Philly and we had such a blast and the images came out great! I knew their wedding day would be more of the same!

Once again I had my great friend Pete Malone by my side as my second shooter. We were both super excited about this wedding because neither of us had yet worked at the Phoenixville Foundry. It being one of the newest and hippest wedding locations in our area, needless to say we were looking foward to checking it out. It certainly lived up to our expectations.

Ok , enough said. Here are the Favs!

Above is my favorite portrait of the day! The light was perfect! Who says that winter weddings don’t produce the best photos?

This inspiration board is comprised of photographs of work done by ilonka Floral Decorator. She did an amazing job from the church to the reception. Everything was top notch!
