What is an engagement session?
An engagement photo session is a portrait session of you and your future spouse. Some of our clients choose an engagment session for Save the Date cards, display at your wedding reception or to be uploaded to your wedding website. The engagement is a very loving time in your relationship and it’s lovely to commemorate that with pictures of both of you.
How does engagement photography work?
We need to choose a location and set a time and date for the shoot. On the day of the shoot we will meet at the determined location and get started. Instead of moving from spot to spot I will shoot along the way capturing your love in its natural state while including landmarks and lighting in real life scenarios. Stopping at predetermined locations and “posing” is also important. The poses are really just to get you interacting together. I might have you walk down a tree-lined path or instruct you to talk to each other without looking at me or the camera. This creates a loose atmosphere and captures your love the best way.
