I arrived at Pen Ryn two hours early to scout out some new and interesting spots for portraits.  I had been to that venue before, but was excited by some of the new locations I had found.  I met up with the bride as scheduled and began working on some details shots while Carley was getting dressed.  And that’s when it happened — I fell and broke not only my right ankle, but my right foot as well.  While the injury couldn’t have come at a more inopportune time — during the lead-up to a client’s wedding — I couldn’t have been in better company.  Not only are Carley and Adam both doctors, but their parents include three doctors and a nurse.  I knew I was in good hands.  We wrapped up my foot and I kept shooting.

My great friend Pete Malone was on hand as the videographer, and in addition to carrying his equipment and capturing Carley and Adam’s day, he carried me — piggyback style — from location to location so that I could work with my second shooter Mike Landis to photograph the couple’s reveal and portraits.  Talk about a videographer that goes above and beyond!

In the meantime, within about a half hour of my injury, Joy Moody arrived with equipment in hand (straight from the Philadelphia International Cycling Championship in Manayunk where she had been enjoying a well deserved day off) to help with the shoot.  Wedding planner Erin Proud’s assistant Lisa was on the phone during this time as well calling some of my other photographer colleagues.  When all was said and done, we probably had about five photographers ready to show up to help (hey there, brides — don’t be getting any ideas about sneakily sawing the legs off of chairs or anything like that to have a slew of photographers ready to rush your wedding  ).  Ultimately, it was Ryan Estes who graciously came to fill in for me.  While I stayed at the wedding to make sure everything went as planned, Ryan and Mike took care of the legwork necessary to get the rest of the shots from the day.

I knew I had amassed a great network of colleagues and friends over the years, but I don’t think you can truly know how lucky you are until you’re in a bind and droves of people are there and ready to help you out.  I am so thankful to be a part of such a great group and am forever indebted to all of those that came to my aid.  Thanks guys!

I really enjoy baby sessions!  The session with baby Addie was so much fun, she is such a happy little peanut!  Addie’s mommy, Becky is in charge of marketing at Synergetic and also making sure my images make it in to advertising material and their blog.  When she asked me to do pictures of this little cutie, I did not hesitate!  Warning, these photos may increase the desire to have one of your own or in my case add another!!!!!  Enjoy!

She is in the last 6 weeks of her pregnancy and she looks amazing!  So naturally we had to do a belly session!  I am really happy with these images and just a tad bit jealous that you can’t even tell she is preggers from behind!

I am so excited to co-host her baby shower this weekend with her mother Cindy!

Stay tuned for photos of Baby Liam, he will be making his BIG debut mid May!  This will be one well photographed child!

Tristan is five months old and just as cute as a button, I seriously want to eat him.  I absolutely LOVE baby sessions, I think because being a mom myself I know how important these images are to parents.  I also love how excited my clients are before, during and after the sessions.  Makes it all worth it!

I’m not looking at you, I’m not looking at you, I’m not looking at you…….I can see he will totally torment a little brother or sister when they come along!

My husband and I have known Fred forever.  He is quite possibly one of my favorite people in the whole wide world.  We have spent many a late night together watching UFC.  I kinda appoint myself stand in “Mommy” for little Declan on these nights.  Lindsay is always working and by the time I get home from whatever wedding I am shooting that day, I try to give Fred a break.  I love that kid!  So when Fred asked me to photograph his wedding I was more than thrilled to do it!

Their wedding day was georgeous!  Lots of Sun, bright blue skies.  The picture perfect day!  It was my first time at The Hotel Hershey and I was really impressed!  That place was amazing, with lots of great photo opts.  We were lucky enough to get the amazing Pete Malone out not only to second shoot but he took over after dinner so I could enjoy the party without having to work.  He did an awesome job!  Thanks Pete!

Crazy Rugby Players!

Dave and I have known each other since we were in our single digits.  He is such a great guy, so greatI asked him to be my daughter Mya’s godfather.  Which is something he does wonderfully.  He loves Mya so much and spends a lot of time with her.  Mya loves her “Unk Gee ” which is how she pronounced Uncle Dave at 3 years old and it just stuck.  He will always be Unk Gee to her.   Mya is one of the flower girls in the wedding, so that should be interesting as she is walking down the isle and I am at the other end shooting it!   

This is one of my favorite photos of Dave & Jess to date.  Stay tuned because this fall we are doing a full blown session.  Dave you better behave!

Megan and Toby were married up in the Poconos on June 13th.  The Woodlands is a gorgeous resort, which was kind of a bummer since it rained most of the day.   We still got some great pics!  Megs & Toby it was such a pleasure being there and shooting this day!  We love you guys!

This is a rugby tradition that whole team sings “You’ve lost that lovin’ feeling” to the bride.  They do it at every wedding….it’s a hoot!

Normally I am used to working right beside Alicia, her Mom, Dad and brother Josh!  They are the team that make up Company’s Coming Catering.  I work many many weddings every year with them and we always have a blast!  Not to mention Josh’s food is by far the BEST in the Philadelphia area!  I look forward to my vendor meal when he is cookin’!  Even though yesterday was their day to relax and enjoy the party Josh was still in the kitchen makin’ dinner! 

You might recognize them from a recent shoot we did together a few months back with their absolutely adorable daughter Ava.  She was as cute as ever, and has the most amazing eyes!

It was pretty cool how the kids of Pennsbury High School transformed their school into an fantasy world of art!  Every square inch of the walls was covered with some kind of painting, foam, or artwork of some kind.  It was awesome!  I can’t imagine how much work went into this night!  From what I hear, Pennsbury H.S.  is known for their prom events.  From the craziest entrances you can think of,  to their star performance’s.  A few years back John Mayer stopped by to perform a few songs and this year they had Ryan Cabrera preform.  Man I wish my prom could have been this cool!
